Title: Kymco 150cc ATV, No Click, No Start

I've owned a Kymco 150cc atv for a couple years now. Never had any issues until just the other day. Went to start with starter button and click no, nothing.

I've checked the following:

- Battery - 12.65 volts
- Starter solenoid - I can get it to start by jumping the solenoid
- If it starts by jumping the solenoid I am assuming the starter is good.

Is there another obvious place I should be checking? Fuse box, a second kill switch, etc? Seems like I am getting zero power from the push button start.

Any help/guidance is appreciated.

Can you try a boost from a non running automobiles battery,?

does an ATV require you to hold a brake lever while starting? Problem with the brake switch?

It does require the parking brake to be engaged or the brake pedal to be held when starting.

I can start it by jumping the solenoid. There seems to be power coming into the solenoid by no power out of the solenoid to the starter when the start button is pushed.

electrics are not my strong point...(Ruffus, are you out there?!)... but it seems like either a problem in your start switch or possibly your brake switches

@kymco150, pls start following:
-kill switch ? spray it
-all fuses out and renew!!
-pull on cables under fuses (corrosion)
-check both brake switches (pull tiny cables off and connect/short them)
Starts yes/no
No, reconnect
-check minus cable to ground
-check minus and plus cables towards starter solenoid
-check for a lose connector in front and under your seat

Ok two dumb questions here:

1) Spray kill switch with what?
2) I've checked fuses and I can't find any. Also checked connections. Am I missing something obvious? I've traced all the wires too.

Spray with WD40 or similar.

Can't find fuses at all or any demaged?
If so, pls see your manual for fuses location.

Brake lights coming on when brake activated?
Take solenoid out, clean connection points , try with a battery function.
