Title: RRUK - Well that's me done for another year!
Post by: Neil955i on July 17, 2024, 09:29:00 AM
My second charity ride of the year for Relay Riders UK was a short daylight one this time.  I far preferred the nighttime run I did my first year, but it's still great to be part of something big:  https://relayriders.co.uk/donate/

My leg of the relay started not too far from home in Nantwich.

What it doesn't show after that second photo is my antics feeding my leg over the saddle to even get on the bike!  Yes, I considered the old cowboy mount, but with my weight...  Anyway, once aboard, from there I led the support riders through some great countryside to Stafford to hand over responsibility for the two teddy bears to Tim, a Blood Biker.

Then time to take a circular route back home.  Just over 2 hours out and a mere 70 miles covered, but a great excuse to take the dust sheet off my old Triumph which never missed a beat.

Thanks Hawk.  I certainly had more fun than those out in our recent monsoon conditions here!

Great photos Neil - good on you for participating again!
That's a pretty cool thing they are doing!
We have a Xmas toy drive here every year - has a massive following by the H.D. gang.

I really like that your ride is "125cc friendly" by staying off the motorways!
Here - I limit my group events to the yearly "blessing of the bikes" at our dealer. I'll take all the help I can get!

Once again - well done Neil!
