Title: People 50 2 stroke - Where is the CDI?
Post by: benhogan73 on December 24, 2010, 09:29:53 PM
I feel really dumb.  I have been fiddling with Kymcos for several years - People, Agility, Vitality, ZX50.  I have a People that takes too much effort to start and I want to check the CDI.  But I can't find it!!!  I pulled the battery out - not there.  I pulled the seat off - not mounted on the side like the Vitality.  No floor board compartment that I could find, like the Agility.

So, I give up.  Where is the CDI on the 2 stroke People 50?

Many thanks.

Tim

OK.  Just tell me where you found the CDI on your people.   The service manual says to remove the battery cover, but it doesn't show me where the battery cover is.  It's not in the same place as the battery.

Any thoughts will be appreciated.  And Merry Christmas!!

I found it!!!

It was tucked behind the front cover of the bike, next to the voltage regulator.  None of the drawings in any of the manuals I reviewed showed its location.

Wow! That's weird, huh? I would not have guessed to look there for it. I'm glad you found it, Tim!!

Happy New Year!!
