Here she is beside my ZX, which is tore down as you can see..
i haven't even touched it yet besides removing the reflectors, rear mud flap., definately gotta install some 5.7 g rollers to help with the hills.. she is fun to ride, gotta say.. coming home on hwy 25 i actually had her hitting 50 on several sections of that hwy...45 most times ;)

..we installed a new die-casting cell...900 ton aluminum die casting machine..a 6 axis ABB robot extracts the chilled casting from the dcm after the mold opens, quenches the 1000 degree casting then places it in a trim press, where the part is cut from the gate....another robot extracts the trimmed casting and places in in an inspection area, where it it inspected by laser and photo equipment...
..we ran production on the cell for the first time last week...

Mine folded last month and I can't get a new one - backordered from Kymco and according to Kymco USA not expected until late January (maybe, possibly, hopefully).

Can't say I know for sure. I came out of the subway to go home one day and found that the stand was bent so badly that it was barely standing up. Really was a miracle it didn't fall over it was so unstable
Not sure if some of the sleazy people who hang around waiting for the buses to roll in didn't do something to it. I sometimes see people sitting on other people's bikes that are locked up in the rack. Found a beer can or two sitting on the ground near the scoot every so often so I know people hang around it sometimes.

Yeah, probably why they don't keep many of those stands in stock.
I'm wondering is someone was messing with it - maybe trying to move it and shoving it around on the stand.
Or I could've had a couple of big guys leaning on the thing.

You're on to something there.
Gas will be going up more and I suspect come spring they'll be lots of people running to the dealership looking for a scoot.
Makes you wish you could pick up all those scoots people are selling now that the weather is cold.

i been trying... :D... even picked up a cobra racer the other night.. suppose to be a parts scoot but everythings there cept the exhaust.. otherwise COMPLETE.......ps.. cobra has SAME engine as the s9 and ppl... ;D SCORE...... ;)

Actually, we are the freakish family that has only 1 car - and 1 scooter, but your point is taken.
Having to wait 2+ months for a part makes me wonder what would happen if something broke and I couldn't run the scoot for an extended period of time because I can't find a replacement part?

For sure... thats one reason i was always flipping out if something went wrong trying to tune something....and also remind her of the time you can ride together on a nice sun afternoon....with 2 scoots.. ;)

I have removed the rear fender, "blacked" out my lenses
Currently running a malossi white 1000 contra, 1000 fly springs
5.1g malossi rollers(thinkin 4.5g).. I need to jet again, think i am running a tad lean

Very cool. Is it hard to change the grips? And how do you "black out" the lens?

Hey man, no the grips are fairly easy to change.. Just squirt a bit of wd40 on the inside of the grip and it'll work loose easy enough..... :D, I feel ya, I figure i'd do some visual stuff anyway for a bit too... ;)
They actually sell it in a can to "black" out the lenses.. Its called VHT Night Shades.. Think it was $12 for a can..(You can get it at any parts store)The more coats, the darker it gets.. They say 3 on the can, its true... :D.. I put 5 on the ZX and :o HOLY NIGHT TIME BATMAN, it's black... ::).. Done 3 scoots and still have almost half a can..

I need some input on my ag guys........
I went to rejet for the season,(been sitting since the zx WAS my ride till today :'(), And i have been drilling this mj out myself. I had downjetted to a "88" from a "90" and rode for awhile, Seemed off(but then again i'd been riding the zx. :D ;)) So i figured i needed to chop and jet.
I went for a "94"(word is/was running a "98", thus my 94 start). I could not make it away from the front door. NAsty rich....... I went to a "92", i was able to make it out of the drive but the spit/spudderf was irritating so i turned back.... I went to a "90", no spit, nothing. I went on the chop; came back. I wanted to REALLY look at the plug, so i tried a lil trick i learned elsewhere. I CUT the bottom half off to see the mix ring. It was solid white.....very lean. :o :'(
How in the sh** can you go from rich on a "92" and be THAT lean on a "90"?... I had been riding witha "88" before this.... The old saying that "a 4t is more forgiving than a 2t" is very true... It HAS to be. I'm LEAN!.......

It seems that the shop that had worked on it for the p.o may have been trying to get a repeat customer.(lights were unplugged when i got it, a wire here would be unplugged)
I never noticed this till now either, but the pj seems to be broke. Looks like a wedge shape... UNLESS SOMEONE CAN VERIFY A WEDGED PJ?... Looks to be broke at the slot for the screwdriver, causing a wedge shape top.. Can't seem to get it out yet(since the screwdriver won't work now for sure)... BUt it still works.... :D
Could anybosdy give some input on this lean condition?????

As a general rule its a 80 jet stock, 82 jet deslrestricted, and 88 for an open air filter but im sure you prob know that most scoots vary slightly?
I dont swap my jets for winter here in Scotland, maybe i should?. I just run the 82 all yr on mine?
Comes out ok on plug for me no leaness or richness, tho its always a little slower in the cold or wet, 3-5mph sometimes.
Had a similair issue a while back where i couldnt get the plug right, was way too rich then added more air in and got better but still had a sooty plug a bit. Found out eventually i had slighlty too much engine oil in cos i filled it on a slope, drained a little off and refitted the 82 jet put back on my stock air box and it was perfect again.

Maybe a longer belt would help? Im sure i read ages ago someone ran a 743 belt with his multivar? Do the magic marker line on the variator face and see if the belt hits the limit? 729 is stock length but I use a 737 malossi belt in mine with my race variator, tho its not a multivar. That works well for me, got me back my top end i had lost.
And yes it is evening here now ;D

Hey man, yeah i did take the jet back down to a "90" and went to 5.1g rollers yesterday and she was a lot better than before. Of course it was alot warmer today than it has been. She seemed about back to before. I'm wondering if i couldn't take the jet down again to "88". I meant to pick up another plug so i could cut this one open. :D these c7's are a @*#@ to see and read compared to the br8's on the zx.(i miss my z :'()

:o I think you just solved all of my problems there with the oil. :D
I've had a hard time adjusting the fuel, as it seems rich even with 80 jet, and it seems to have alot of oil in the air filter, coming from the valve cover. Is this the same symptoms as you had? :D

Yup :)
I still get a little oil in the filter but it is a tiny amount compared to how it was before.

Hmm. Perhaps i'll have to get a more precise way of dozing the oil. So far i've poured from the container untill it is perfect on the dipstick. :)
Funny, that i haven't had any problems with this on the first agility, where i did it the same way:
Center stand, front wheel touching the ground while rear doesn't, and then pour and check a couple of times. :)

It couldve just been co-incidence, i dont know, but there def hasnt been the same oily fluid in my airbox.

Well, i layed down my ag last week and it broke my dam heart. :'(
Fkn wet rds...I think i recieved as much damage as she did.. :D Thankfully i was able to get back up.
In the process of sourcing a few parts i need...Wish me luck.. :D
Today i figured i'd help my lil ag and try to repair some damage, re-adjust the valves,etc..
PLUS i'm over due on a jet change...
Had the oem pj in with a "90"mj, mix at 2 out..
Went down to a "86-87"mj(my calipers were going in between the 2). Had to raise the mix to 2-1/2 out. It was a close call on the mix, 1-1/2 was crappy, 2 was better idle, 2-1/2 make the idle jump a lil bit more. I better leave that till i can ride it.
Hoping the "86-87"mj puts me right where i need to be for the warmer weather.....
Nix on the mix..... went back to 2 out....
