Thought I would share two pics from a ride I did this morning. It is summer here in South Africa, but the wind was strong today - the strongest I have ever ridden in! :o At least the tyre wear will be a bit more even considering the angles that I had to lean the bike to counter the wind - but my Xciting, with its low centre of gravity, was a pleasure. We have wonderful, good quality roads here around the Cape Town, so even in such conditions one feels relatively safe. ;D
Till next time....

Great pictures. Love the mountains in the back ground.

Nice pics from the southern hemisphere, especially viewed from the cold northern.

Is that 'Table Mountain" way back there?
Nice shots. Please share more. We love to see the world!

Hi WT100 - that is the Paarlberg Mountains (which sometimes get snow high up in winter) which are about 40kms inland, but I attach a few pics from a previous ride which include Table Mountain. These pics were taken in October - the beginning of our Summer. Thanks for the interest all...I also enjoy seeing pics from other parts of the world. ;D

They are indeed grapevines. The area around Cape Town is well know for their good quality wines - the area being known as the Winelands. Wine is a huge source of revenue for the area, and a major tourist attraction for foreigners. A good bottle of wine sells for around ZAR60 (8US$)
