I am testing a 2022 with 1000 miles do they have 2 key bobs ? What else should I look for ? Or ask ?
Thanks Tom
-
will that still be under the factory warranty? Looks like the warranty was 2 years when new..

It SHOULD have 2 key fobs. Something to verify. And the owner manual.
Really just be looking at the same stuff as on any other motorcycle/scooter. Fluids changed, tire wear (really shouldn't need those since only 1000 miles), general condition of the plastics fit and finish should be good. Check brake pads... especially the rear pads to make sure the previous owner didn't try to ride it with the parking brake engaged. The brake pads should be easy to see using just a flashlight. Check that the heated grips work. To turn those on you have to hold the heated grips button on top the left control cluster for a few seconds then tap that button to toggle through the heat settings, low/medium/high. For only 1000 miles the AK should look and work like new.
If you go for it be sure to download/install the Noodoe phone app to link to the bike. Even if you don't use the Noodoe navigation that will keep the clock up to date/time. The only subscription bit is with the navigation maps. That is a 3 year subscription with the first 3 years free. I found out the entire USA maps are $17 which is really a bargain. At least last time I looked it was that. But other stuff on Noodoe has no subscription that I am aware of.
Yes, the factory warranty is 2 years from date originally sold. Don't remember if transferable to a new owner but would be surprised if not. I bought mine in Nov 2021 so my warranty is up in the fall.

Unless something has changed - Kymco scooter warrantees are fully transferable for 2 yrs from sale/registered for road date. New owner must do a little paperwork.

So work got in the way of the test ride but I secured the bike with 500 dollars so I will try to get there tomorrow . I expect it to be no problems but there was only 1 key fob .
Thanks again for the suggestions ill be adding a box rite away so the wife has something to lean on
-
Since there is only one fob make sure you install the emergency seat latch release. I posted a thread about it somewhere here I think. I did the same install on my Burgman 650 as did many other owners of that bike. Comes in very handy when you lock the fob in the storage box or just want to open the seat without turning on the bike.
Should you ever need it TBS does have the keyless system. Can't buy just one fob.

So they have 2 key fobs and no leaks that I see . Ill have to learn all I can about the bike since I hope it keeps me happy .
I had a 2018 MP3 500cc , then a 2019 Aprillia Dorsadoro that I just could not get used to so I sold them .
My wife let me know my Scarabeo 500 ,Helix ,Vespa n GasGas 300 have to go . So be it I think this bike will suit me just fine .
I really am glad for these forums so I can read up on all these ideas for this machine . I am sure to add to them also .
-
Good deal. I still say to put in the emergency latch release and keep one fob under the seat without the battery. I found both batteries died at the same time even though I only used one fob and kept the other under the seat in a RFID pouch so the bike couldn't see it. When that happened I simply removed the battery from the spare fob and left it that way.

I like the idea of an emergency entrance so ill search and find your post on how to do it . At this Piont I need to figure out all the other issues the simple stuff .
I need to strip off the badges and make the bike my own by renaming her I like Sky as a name to match the color . I am going to get some Shad bags a top box anyway
I like the side bag rails for my wife to hold onto and the top box for her to lean against . Bigger footpads for her feet are needed I like the headrest back support idea also .
My BV350 got a lot of mods but I don't want a after market exhaust on this one since they really are kind of loud . I will install a front camera so they can sue if someone does something stupid .
A rear break light on the box is a must have and maybe a Lanier lip for the wind shield ill see once I get the bike .

Great stuff. Don't forget the photos once you collect it!

Don't tease, show us the photos! 😂

I am not sure how to upload the photos on my phone to the computer . I really am a lot smarter at other stuff just technology is a challenge to me .
I rode 87 miles today and only hit rain 3 times This is my new favorite bike that's for sure . I need to do the Cat delete pipe to make it sound better and the Sheepskin cover .
The wind shield is ok I will live with it until the cold weather arrives . I took the seat bumper off that helps my 34 inseam . I have a plasma cutter so ill cut some nice aluminum pieces for it .
I will get some vynal cut when I get the boxes mounted on her . The stock tires are darn good for stock tires . Well I really like this bike I wonder how many are in the states 2500 ?
That would make me 1 in 132,800 people so I am one lucky guy !

Take a listen to these options if you like aftermarket exhaust sounds...

If I were to go with any of these featured aftermarket options I kinda like the Mivv. There are a few other YouTube videos of aftermarket exhausts as well as this one.

Always liked the look & sound of Akrapovic exhausts.

I saw a video comparing the sounds of different playing cards on the spokes of a bicycle.

Thank you Neal I have a Akropovic on my BV350 and it gets some heads turning but my wife said not to make this one to loud so I am going to do just a cat delete header pipe .
