thats what i thought ...can't find it anywhere..
was told this by a chap & wondered if anyone had heard of it

Fuel Injected Engines:
Code 54 - Camshaft (or distributor sync.) reference circuit - No camshaft position sensor signal detected during engine rotation.

Carb'ed Engines:
Code 54 - Mixture Control (MC) solenoid is shorted

No camshaft position sensor on a DT300i.
