So I bought a used people 150 (2009).
Cleaned the carb to get it running, but the headlight is giving me trouble.
The passing light functions when I press it, but the high and low beams don’t give me anything.
I’ve seen a couple other folks mention a similar issue, but don’t think I’ve seen a solution.
It seems like if the passing light works, the high beam ought to work, or would indicate a problem with the switch.
I bought a used switch on eBay, but got the same result(maybe that’s why they were selling it on eBay).
Currently waiting for a replacement led bulb from Amazon, but it seems like everything takes. Week or more now to get deliveries, even with prime.
Anyway, just curious if this is sorta common and if theres an easy-ish solution.

Do you have a multimeter?

Hi,
False alarm. There was a green wire that looked like it had been chewed through further down the wire harness. I used a Solder & Seal wire connector to get it back together and the headlight is back.
Almost ready to get this baby back on the road!

I had an earlier model 150. Very nice scooter but mine had one niggling problem - getting the thin front tire stuck in a road crack or between concrete slabs. Those had the tendency to alter the steering. The large wheels made the ride smoother and easier crossing potholes etc.. Ride safe and enjoy!
