Title: gear oil changes & rust repair
Post by: Stig / Major Tom on March 23, 2023, 10:36:05 PM
Raining today and duties kept me off the road.
The Liberty is easy. Drain, fill until it overflows. Wait for it to stop. Finished.
The Stig-installed puke tube was drained (piaggio used a 1"er way up hidden. I used 8" one from a LIKE - an afternoon project getting it up in there!)

The LIKE200i is not as easy - must measure 181ml.

while there, I noted the rust on the fender-hugger support bar.
off it came for a wire brush, sand, soap and alcohol wipe before I primed then painted it.

Both oils looked like this - if you're imagining anything floating in there - it most likely fell out of my mustache.

Only one screw up, not bad for gov't work. Tried to refill the LIKE's hub via the mounting hole for the fender support.

PS: both puke tubes puked, a little :)

Looks like a day we’ll spent Stig. That bracket looks tons better!
