1969 HONDA CB-350
Green.

This was the 2nd Honda we bought during my medic training in TX.
Our first Honda CB-175 was stolen.
After I received orders for Vietnam I put my 19 yr old wife on the Santa Fe Chief with our luggage while I rode the 350 from Ft Sam Houston / San Antonio to my parents house in Kansas. Dealt with major crosswinds and the chain guard vibrated off - but otherwise was a fun ride. Trying not to dwell on the fact this may be my "final ride".....on anything.
Loved that Honda. It was the 3rd I'd owned from new. Been sold on Hondas ever since.

Now posting pictures of my old bikes would require me to trawl through a very large chest FULL of prints going back 40+ years! Maybe one day, but it’ll have to be after I tidy my garage as that’s higher up the list of “must dos”. For the record, my favourite bike out of all the ones I’ve owned? Toss up between the Triumph 955i Daytona and the Kawasaki ZX-7R. Prettiest? Defo the Kwak. It was stunning - same colour scheme as this photo!

favorite bike, in an odd way..it's the bike that started all of this. An old girlfriend had one just like this, a 1980 Honda NC50 Express in blue. When I was 14 and 15 I would have killed for one of these. Back in 2015 I was on the hunt for one just like it to scratch that itch I had back in 1980..but then logic took over and I ended up with a much more capable scoot in the People S200..then the Ninja, the Helix and hopefully many more to come.
Another on the wish list, along with the beautiful Honda CB350, is the similar CL350. Love the high pipes on the CL.
Sorry, Stig, I know this is intended to be about all time favorite bikes we've owned...ask me again in 20 years and I hope to have a nice list!

I have 2 XV920Rs one complete, the other for parts, only sold in US in 1981 & 1982, and grew to the TR1 in Europe & Asia

Yamaha made an XV920 Virago that was much more popular, the XV920R was more European styling and probably took Yamaha dealers 5 years to sell 2 years, everybody I know that bought one new, bought it as a leftover at huge discount. On the other side of the pond, it was a popular bike to mod as a cafe racer (google some images or yamaha xv920r, or tr1) monoshock, dual disc up front (drum in back) air adjustable shock & forks, 18"wheel in back, 19" up front, and the rarest feature of all, ENCLOSED CHAIN, virtually zero maintenance, change the grease in the enclosure every 30,000 miles. I wish it was still a feature on some bikes,

The gorgeous Commando in "give-me-a-citation" YELLOW.

and the white & deadly MACH III....(I saw a guy toss his new III onto the hood of a car - showing off it's acceleration in a parking lot at Ft Sam Houston.
Too much HP for its weight! Our bike dealer in TX was advised to give instructions/cautions to new buyers.

I also fondly remember Bultaco Moto-X bikes, the stately & royal Bonneville, and the BSA 441 (feel each firing stroke!)
Bike seats in those days were the best, too, IMHO.
