Some of the first pix I took of these scooters.

July 29, 2017 - unboxing the LIBERTY150i S at the Vespa dealership. We went through 4 cartons until I found the red one I wanted, stripped it down this far so I could sit on it.
IT FIT - so I wrote the check! Had it flat-bedded 35 miles to my driveway 2 days later. That 70+MPH ride down I-70 was a trip to watch from the rear-view mirror of my car - the fastest that scoot will ever go!!

cool to see the Liberty brand new from the box! Surprisingly complete...I thought most bikes needed a lot of assembly from the crate?

Just the mirrors, in bubble wrap under the seat. Didn't see where the keys we kept stored.
A lot of wrap all over the scooter, had to do some digging to see the color!, big thick carton over it all.
Glad my scooter wasn't part of his damaged stock after the tornado hit his dealership.

Nice Stig.  Makes me wish that I had been more disciplined photographing my rides in the past.  Mainly just got on 'em and rode off into the sunset - or howling gale which usually seemed to be the case!

Ahhhhh..! A new one in the box! Untouched by anyone but the last soul at the factory...

The irony of who might have assembled that scooter is not lost on me.
Actually....the line worker would have been too young, but his pop, or his foreman might have been on the field with me during
the games there (Vietnam) in the 60's.

Well, whatever. ....certainly have no complaints about the quality of the parts or the assembly. 🙃

I've told this story here before...but when I got my new VW Vanagon home from the dealership,  I opened yhe engine cover to look at things.
There on top of the engine...I found a new clean German beer bottle cap🙂
The assembly plant was actually 🇦🇹 Austria....but I  appreciated the man's sense of humor!
