Stopped over I-70 to adjust the heat setting on my gloves - finger tips were freezing! - 24°F when I set out this morning.
After taking a snap - while removing my broccoli-band parking brake with my gauntlets on I apparently tripped the kill switch off.
My scooter never dies at idle, never!
But I thought it had.....tried restart. Just cranks....almost starts (which is the crazy-making thing about my kill switch - it so nearly does start. But no. It won't)
OK, in a nano second I thought.....we're miles from home ...I'm getting cold, it's dark, 10 yr old scooter has finally let me down............................
No, dumby - you can't see it in the dark - but you've tripped the kill switch.
It fired up with a cough - lightly flooded?....and then I rode off into the dark. And I apologized.

Haven't tried starting my current AK with the kill switch tripped. So don't know if the engine will even crank in that state. But BTDT without realizing it until I tore all the plastic off the Metropolitan and then accidentally put my hand on the kill switch and felt it turn back on!!! This after pushing it a mile home thinking it was broken.

This might have been my first 'on the road' kill switch goof!
Before - it happened after drying the scooter after a rain ride.
The next ride it won't start.
!!
I'd toweled the kill switch to "off"! .....but first I'm thinking, "You got it too wet - but wait.....it rains like H_ll in Taiwan!"
Kill switch dumby.

My X-Town won't even crank with my kill switch in the off position.
