for some reason I feel compelled to take a pic any time the odo turns over to a new x000. Beautiful day today, sunny and around 70 F. Went for a lunchtime ride and timed it perfectly to get to the lake by the beach for the 9000 mile pic on the Helix. I bought it June of 2021 with around 7150 on it. Might be my favorite all around 2 wheeler.

Congratulations Hawk. Getting close to 9,000 on my X-Town now…

Only time I have ever stopped to take a photo of my odo, is when I rolled 100k on my SV650. I used to ride that bike between 30k and 40k miles a year. Now that I am retired, I enjoy my rocking chair too

Cool Hawk!
That's a Clean Machine!
Thanks for the pics.
I remember stopping and taking a pic of my LIKE when I hit 4,000miles over at the reservoir, and thought, "da_n!, I could'a ridden this plastic scooter clear across the USA!"
(and as for stopping and taking pics - good for you. I just checked my "files" for October - I stopped and took 894)

at your rate of riding you'd be taking an odo pic every week of two, wow!

the best part, the majority of those miles were business miles tax deductible at the current rate
fwiw, rate for motorcycles is up to 60½¢/mile since July 1

I used to enjoy claiming the same rate as I would for the car on my motorcycle! Then thinking about it, I suppose the cost of consumables per mile for the bike was more than the car...

Congrats on the scooter. I suspect that with my normal riding I’ll reach the 9K mark around 2026. ;)

Me too Hawk!

I'm still not up to 600 miles yet on my AK550, haven't gone on any "real" ride days, plenty of local errands, but, it's spent some time in shop, trying to chase down an electrical drain, and in the end, just replacing a bad battery, last time I stopped in at the dealer, they said Kymco had already sent them the check for the battery and time. Quicker than they ever expected, just a week from when they submitted the claim.
Probably won't be till spring, before I get out for a 300-500 mile day. I'm gonna work on completing the Vermont 251 Club

I have lived in Lakes Region of New Hampshire the last 47 years, but I was born and grew up, in Vermont, and that is where most of my family is. When I visit my brother, I take my truck though, towing a trailer with my UXV450i, and last time K-Pipe too, it fits in truck bed with tailgate up 8)
