It’s a fb post, but if you call it up, there are some really evocative photos here from the late 50’s & early 60’s. Takes me back!

My elder brother was the right age to have been mixing with all these “Rocker” types and had a big BSA. He took me for a long ride on it when I was about 5 or 6? It was that got me hooked on motorcycles!

Mom made me ride behind her on her BSA but Dad put me on the seat in front of him, all when I was about 6...

great pics, Neil! I also belong to The Golden Days of the Motorcycle Shop group on FB (under my wife's account, of course). Similar pics to yours but of the old motorcycle dealers in the UK. Love the old stuff.

Thank goodness that the heavy leather jacket was considered cool and obligatory!...and lots of helmets!
They drank Pepsi!
Loved the pic of the mom paying the kid's tab in the accessories shop.
Cool pics Neil. (literally - your dam country always looks cold.... and damp!) Thanks!

My head goes a whole 'nother place when I think of the 60's....

Not always cold & damp Stig, but often enough that it was no hardship to wear a Wild Ones uniform back then! The late 60’s eh? What a great time to be young it was. Wouldn’t have missed it for the world.
