Title: My engine dies until it warms up
Post by: kymcofan1 on October 03, 2022, 01:09:14 AM
I have an Agility 125 and in the mornings the bike will start, then run okay, until I get on it and ride, then it'll die once I come to a stop, and I have to crank it again. it will do this until the engine is warmed up, then it'll run just fine. The bike's only five months old. Any ideas?

Welcome here,
might be caused by some cold start issues, like injector, warm up sensorics, but let your dealer check this out, if you have warranty.
They plug your scoot onto their diagnostic tool and find out.

Is not the Agility 125 a carburetor engine? I was thinking it is and the "bystarter" was the culprit....

Shame on me, CROSSBOLT you are right.
Carb model with its sometimes failing bystarter or just some gunk somewhere.

Still, the 'fix' is pulling it into your dealer's service drpt.
Use your warranty.

Mine can do something close to this once it gets cold out <60f, until the engine is completely warmed up. Maybe the valves need adjusting.

Seems like a warranty repair.

This normal behavior for a carbureted machine. Keep it indoors overnight and it'll start and run just fine.
