My fuel filter has the inlet from gas tank and has TWO output lines. One goes just prior to Carb and the other goes to gas/air flow on the other side of carb, bypassing carb. I don't understand whets going on. The reason i ask is that i don't believe i will find this odd fuel filter and want to understand to enable me using a non OEM option that may not have two lines coming out of the bottom of fuel filter

@dwarnimont, pls assure you really mean your fuelfilter (pls see pic)

And yes, there are fuelfilters with two outlets, but very rarely used in motorcycles.
Maybe you take a pic of your scoots innerts.
