Title: Fuel Gauge Slow to React

For a while my fuel gauge has been slow to react (takes a few minutes) after filling up the tank but this weekend it didn't move off of empty for 24 hours. Any idea why?

I'm amazed nobody else has had this issue. Huh. Have had it in some way or another for years.

Float mechanism sticky.... find fuek tank, expose and remove sender, move foat up and down and watch gage. You may have to supply an external ground to make this work.

Most Kymco fuel quantity gages have two wires, no extra ground required. Extra ground will be required if only one wire present.

Floorboards off and there is your fueltank.
37802 and 3780A are the cap plus feeder.
With the feeder out ABSOLUTELY NO sparks.
DISCONNECT battery.

Thanks, given the trouble of removing plastic to get there it may make sense to replace it at the same time.

mine did the same thing when I first bought my scooter, the prevous owner left stale gas in it whitch then gummed up the fuel sennding unit causing it to stick. Tried to clean it but it was just cheaper to replace it with another unit.
