Scooters - 125 to 300 => Super 8 150 => Topic started by: Joast on July 24, 2022, 01:53:59 AM

Hello, I am a new poster. I am in the process of doing a few mods on my 2014 Super 8 150.
Can anyone confirm whether the stock CDI has any RPM restriction (or other restriction) that would limit top speed? I have read a number of old posts but can't find any definite answer on this.
There is alot of discussion on the 50cc cdi limiter -and clipping the purple wire to derestrict- but little about the 150cc.
Presently my scooter is stock except for a Naraku Max Speed variator with 11.5gram rollers.
Top speed went from 53.7 mph on gps stock to 59.7 mph per gps with the variator/roller swap.
Overall acceleration also seems stronger at all speeds.
I am not considering any serious engine mods except possibly jet tuning. Thanks for any info. John
