-
It's a coin flip... Polini and malossi are both excellent.
Enviromoto.com has a leovince exhaust for the gy6... I've seen it on YouTube and love it's sound. Good luck!

Take a look at prices at scooterpartsmania.com for performance exhausts for little scoots.
You will be VERY surprised.
-
Hey, bat, good to see ya. Tough choice...they both look great and get good reviews. I will just add that you can also use this site called thefind. It's pretty cool. I can't use it on this ancient small computer because it brings up a lot of great pics and uses a lot of resources when I click on everything I see...:D
(I need my faster 'puter! I really miss it!!)
I would use it to find you a deal, but it would probably take me a longer than you because I would have to keep closing my browser and rebooting. Good Luck, though! ;)
(And when you decide which one you want for sure and locate a part # for it there are other ways to locate a deal too...)
-
hey girl, yeah its between a polini or malossi for sure. i happened to find a polini dio kit cheaper than the malossi zx kit, soooooo. :D the pipe is different of course.. i think sid uses a v8 pipe, of course very 1st drool was over the rs2, but i think the lv zx is cheaper by $40....i have seen the find on my phone but the phone isnt a puter either really..i do have a brower tho. :D(got a puter now, waiting on internet hook up this week..woo hooooo!)..
-
Whoa! You gonna be happy as a Fat Cat soon...Phone, Souped up Scoot, Computer AND Internet!! WooHoooo is right! I haven't used the phone browser's so I don't know what all you can do with it until you get the internet going, but you can also try this...
type in the name or description of the the pipe you want to look at on Google Images. You should get at least a few pages worth of hits. When you scroll through them you will see that there are actually many places that sell stuff that we never even heard of before. Since you are ordering many things you need the best price you can get on the high priced items.
I usually check the copyright at the bottom of the page to make sure it's not a 10 year old site. If you find a good price send them an email to make sure they are still in business and to see if they answer quickly. Or did you mean you already picked the polini dio kit? :D Maybe I'm just rambling for nothing here. Dang, I wish I hadn't lost my bookmarks! Anyway...hope you get a Good Deal! :)
-
im hoping to find the good deals.. :D :D did find a polini dio kit at a good price..alot cheaper than the SAME KIT for the zx.. ;)...W.T.H.?????...saaaaame kit, $100 difference...
-
Yup...that extra $100 is pure profit and simply because someone couldn't or didn't have the time to shop around! Crazy, right? So...did you get me a part number...or a pic or a link to a place that has one in stock or something to go on yet? Sounds like you might already have found a good deal...
-
You never know - the outfit that I bought the led accent lighting kit from sells the kit for $39 on their website, but the same company also sells the exact kit on ebay for $37. Same company name and all.
Go figure!
-
Definitely pays to shop around...a penny saved is a penny earned.
-
The internet definitely changed the game in favor of the consumer.
I order online every chance I get.
-
Some of these scoot parts can be hard to find locally for lots of folks.
-
Including me!
I've not bought that many parts, but I've bought them from all over.
Unless I'm going for OEM in which case I go with Stadium.
-
True, I've only seen one place cheaper than stadiumyamaha and their shipping wasn't. Even now some folks still don't like to shop online, but with places like stadium you can always look up what you want online then pick up the phone and call them.
-
Hard to get a good deal on the OEM stuff.
I've had some good luck with customer service at a number of places - so being able to pick up the phone and talk to someone is always a plus.
-
I have on occasion seen free shipping, 20% off, and other discounts being offered at various places.
-
I've seen that too - or occasionally I get sent a coupon from a store I shopped at in the past.
Too often there is some kind of minimum purchase amount necessary - and it's always more than I'll be spending.
-
Yeah, I hate when that happens. There's one store (Man I miss my bookmarks!) that gives 20% off if you order on Monday.
-
I hope you can remember what store that is!
I don't think I'll buy anything for the scoot without checking with you first.
You seem to be the master of the deal. :D
-
LOL! I love finding a Good Deal...I really miss my faster computer...I can't find much with this slow one. I hate even trying because it's frustrating. Might have to try to fix it one of these days. :)
-
Yes, you need to fix the fast computer - I'm gonna need a new exhaust in spring so you'll need to be up and running at high speed.
-
Oh boy, I better get motivated then. I hate to admit it, but when this one died on me I let it sit on the floor for a year before I even thought about looking at it. :D
My son mentioned putting a different operating system on the other one. I've never done that, though. I don't know if I could do it. He said it wouldn't be Windows, but I don't care as long as I can use it and actually do things.
-
I know people who use open source stuff and are much happier.
Myself, I switched to Apple and don't have any plans to go back to Microsoft.
-
I think it just needs the drivers, but if I found out it was easy to put another system on it, I wouldn't need to use the microsh*t either!
-
That was the killer with the PC - all the updates and such ended up conflicting with something and messing up the computer.
-
You got that right, oswaldters, not to mention it's a PITA...took 2 days to get this thing upgraded to Service Pack 3. Then it said I had 76 more updates I needed! ???
-
whoa...sorry i missed the convo.....yeah, prices do differ..that kit i spoke of is at the same company too...just ones a dio kit, ones a zx kit...sh**s crazy... why no rianna, i didnt even think to write the # down..DUUUUUUHHH!!.. :D the pipes i have just put in on the yahoo search(phone has yahoo instead of google, besides..al gore is behind google lines.. :D :D ::)).... the pipes are proving difficult for me tho....
-
That's right, bat...always remember...Google is your frenemy... :D :D
No problem...I burned a CD with a different operating system on it and I'm gonna TRY a couple quick searches for ya. You deserve a deal! ;D
Will let you know what I come up with...
-
Hi, bat. Is this the technigas one we're talking about?
http://www.ecrater.com/p/6225705/tecnigas-rs-ii-for-yamaha-zuma-50 (http://www.ecrater.com/p/6225705/tecnigas-rs-ii-for-yamaha-zuma-50)
I am wondering if this one is the same thing because it does not list your scoot. Maybe as long as it says rs2 it's the same??
http://www.spi-parts.com/tecnigas/tecnigas-rs-ii.html (http://www.spi-parts.com/tecnigas/tecnigas-rs-ii.html)
If these are the same and this is one of the ones you want a price on let me know. Thanks.
-
hey rianna, yeah, thats a rs2. but those are for the horizontal engines, the zx, dio use a vertical engine. those wont fit.. yeah, c, everythings for horizontal minnas... :D :D
-
Ahhhh...the vertical engine...I've got so much to learn! :D
I'll try again.
-
you should be certified by now... :D ;D
-
Maaaaann...You gave me a tough one on purpose didn't ya?!!
Best I'm seeing is 200 bucks! Ouch!! I'm still looking, though. ;D
-

-
Whoa...that Tecnigas Revolver is something else! Have you seen it?
Don't give up on me yet, bat. I'm still on the Tecnigas, have not even started the LV yet, lol. What was that one of sid's called? What brand?
-

-
Mornin', bat...here's one of those Revolvers...they say it's a Tecnigas, but I haven't seen it on the Tecnigas website yet...
http://www.sip-scootershop.com/EN/Products/TE0319376/Racing+exhaust+Revolver.aspx (http://www.sip-scootershop.com/EN/Products/TE0319376/Racing+exhaust+Revolver.aspx)
Wait a minute...WHAT??..."a low price scoot"? You gettin' a S9? Are you teasing me? ;D
-
Hey, bat...sorry to question you to death...is it the Leo Vince ZX?? I ask because the description says it has a "double" expansion chamber and this one doesn't say what model scoots it's for
http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/product_catalog/Product.jsp?skuId=4401893&store=&catId=&productId=p4401895&leafCatId=&mmyId= (http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/product_catalog/Product.jsp?skuId=4401893&store=&catId=&productId=p4401895&leafCatId=&mmyId=)
Or does it possibly also fit the People 50?? :-\ Because this one has a closeout price of $129, but says it fits the People. :-\

http://www.scooterpartscatalog.com/gy6-performance-exhaust-169-3.html (http://www.scooterpartscatalog.com/gy6-performance-exhaust-169-3.html)
Who you called?
And which Leo Vince is it you need? ZX?? SBK?? I dunno...I wish I knew stuff! :)
-
Ohhh...maybe it's YMS brand v8, bat, like this??
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260554049538&crlp=1_263602_304642&ff4=263602_304642&viewitem=&guid=5b10161f12c0a47a43d534f5ffdb08c4&rvr_id=169844152189&ua=L (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260554049538&crlp=1_263602_304642&ff4=263602_304642&viewitem=&guid=5b10161f12c0a47a43d534f5ffdb08c4&rvr_id=169844152189&ua=L)*F%3F&itemid=260554049538

-
Dang it...just send me a pic or a link of the one you want for ANY price so I know what I'm looking for! :D
-
cant, on my phone or id have pics of me scoot up... :D that lv zx pipe is an expansion chamber pipe, that technigas next r pipe was a expansion chamber, just not for a zx/dio vertical engine

It's okay, though, I got some email working and updated it in my profile since you said you could send the email from your phone and it won't let you post pics on the forum.
-
MRP is a reputable source...

-
true that ..... :D :D :D.... but dam, i am running out of time.. ;D... everybody has a different thought....oh whoa is me...... ::) ;D
-
Why you running out of time? You in a hurry to go fast, huh?? :D

Yeah, nice lookin' scoot, bat!! I'd ride it... :D ;D I just forget stuff when I get tired. :D
Hey, have you checked this site? They have lots of exhausts for the Dio/ZX listed. I did see a v8 but it said it was very powerful and only for 90cc and up...have not checked all of the exhausts yet, though...prices look good...maybe they will have an expansion chamber one like you want... wanted to post this since you are in a hurry. :)

I think they are in Canada so have to read the shipping pages to see what's what about the time frame and costs. Not much on the mashup today...Folks may be workin' it to death...or it may just start to slow down this time of year.
-
Hi, bat. If these folks ship from their shop in California, and they have a model that firs your scoot, you might could find a deal (clearance price) on that Leo Vince exhaust. Could be worth a call to find out.

Hi, bat...came across this sports linkup thing. Not sure how it all works yet, but looks to be similar to that scoot mashup thing, but for parts. Here's the links for parts that will match your scoot.

thanks rianna...i will look that up in a bit when i get to my new puter.. :D .i may hit a better price on the pipe.....
-
Hi, bat, I don't know if all of your performance parts came in yet or not or where you are at with your mods. You may have decided on a pipe and gotten it already, but I saw this article from a fella in New Zealand (I think) that was modding a racing DIO. Every time he modded something he did an update and listed what he did. I noticed some part #'s and such so I thought I'd pass it on. Might help locating things for that vertical engine of yours.
http://www.scootling.co.nz/50cc_dio.html (http://www.scootling.co.nz/50cc_dio.html)
Good luck with your upgrades!! :)

I know that scootling, he is a shop owner sells scooter and performance part !
I used to have my scooter SYM dd 50 modified in his shop. I got 70 cc kit and performance exhaust from overseas friend
He does the work.
LOL that 70 cc kit is only like 40 US dollar, pipe is something like 40 US dollar too, engine seized once I just put some 2 T oil in fuel tank
It still goes well HAHAHA
-
Wow, grantourismo, you had the Sym DD50? 8) I think you've had many scoots, no? From what I read some parts are interchangeable among the Kymco ZX50, the Sym DD50, a Daelim, Honda Dio and a couple others. We have this member here, thebatman, who is doing MANY mods to his ZX, you can see his BEFORE pic in the Eye Candy section. I can't wait to see his lights and strobes. One of the things he is going to do is a 70cc kit like you are talking about! I can't wait to see his AFTER pics.
WOW! You get performance pipes from New Zealand for 40 U.S. Dollars?!! From where...the scootling place? Now I wonder if they ship to the U.S.??
I sure hope his mods go well and he comes back soon with some awesome pics!! :)

Bat - I'll throw a strong vote in for the Lew Vince. Gained me about 8mph just by itself on my Vento Triton. Be warned, it may come with a restricter cone inside just where it bolts on. Easy to cut out and then away you go.

hey guys, yeah i ordered the lv zx chrome pipe....still being a slack ass on my upgrades.... i'm kindof nervous about going that deep in... i am trying to gather as much as i can before hand since several of the zx clan have left me all alone :'( :-\.. still have 2 weeks before pipe will arrive... it'll be REAL freshly made :D
-
wheres the dude that had a sym dd50????? went to order a 220mm bid brake rotor kit... dude said it wouldnt fit....THAT i dont get... zx/dio/sym all the dam same......i want that kit... :D
-
Not sure where you tried to get your brake kit or how knowledgeable the person was. Possibly they just didn't see the ZX on their list? You might want to email him back and ask why he thinks it won't fit. Are the measurements all the same? When I was looking for a rotor for mine I found that folks often did not know all of the models one might fit. They only knew the ones they usually sold it for. Some of those rotors are nice, too. I'd hate to see ya lose out because a salesperson didn't know his product. Can't wait to see your pics when you're all done. Good luck!
