Backstory: I live in London, Ohio, work in Columbus. Owned a motorcycle 20 odd years ago, wrecked it 2x, decided I’d rather not ride anymore and sold it. Kids are all grown and out of house now, wife decided she wanted a scooter and bought a 2019 Metropolitan. We rode it a couple of weeks and was having so much fun, I bought a 2020 Kymco like 150 abs. I ran across this forum and decided to join up. We both have our temps and are taking the msf course in July in Springfield.

Welcome to the forum Swoter.  Your story is replicated many times here, so many like-minded souls.  Training?  Do it!  We all have stories to tell of riding for decades and STILL learning new and useful stuff on them.  Get familiar with the ATGATT* acronym and put it into practice.  Most of all, do what you already have done, enjoy it!

Any help needed, just shout out, the forum is rammed with very knowledgeable Kymco folk.

* ATGATT = All the gear all the time.

That's an old first gen. LIKE200i over there.

Welcome you two!
If you ever ride to Yellow Springs - there is plenty of room for you both on the Group W bench in front of Tom's market.
I'm there several mornings each week, rain, shine, winter -- from @6:30AM to 8:00Am!
I ride down from Springfield for a cuppa joe at Dino's.

You have two excellent scooters!!

Sometimes I'm on the Liberty - which is allowed here - but only just :)

Photos please when you get the time!
Again, welcome to you both!

Her Metropolitan is a very very solid little scooter....I nearly bought one 9 yrs ago.
And your 2nd generation LIKE is improved over my LIKE200I with your 2 wheel ABS, 2 more valves and a couple more HP. Well done on both scoots!

Thanks for the welcome!

If you do a search on here, there’s a quick guide on converting iPhone format back to .jpg. Must read it again myself!  It should be this link?:

Just wanted to give an update, I bought this scooter in May, now it has about 1550 miles on it. Love riding it. The only thing I added was a windshield. My average top speed is 55 to 60 mph. I’ve seen 65 one time, but was going downhill.
My wife has decided her Metropolitan is not fast enough out of town, so she bought a Buddy 170i. It’s a nice scooter, but I like my Kymco better. The Kymco has a slightly larger body, and better brakes.

What are your favorite destinations over there in London (OH)?
Me, most often I still end up in Y.S. for coffee at Dino's....like this morning.

The only deer that I encountered were here in YS!

Mostly I just ride. No destination in mind, except when I ride to work in Hilliard, that’s about 22 miles one way. I have not ridden toward yellow springs yet, I’ll have to try that. I have been to the antique mall at 40 and 70 quite a bit.
