BELOW: the body style as they came into production in 2009.
Obviously his assignment was to draw a scooter which was reminiscent of Lambrettas and Vespas. (it has been said that the LIKE looks like it could be their kid :)
The 50cc version preceded the 163cc "200i" in N. America. South America, Asia and Europe were getting 125cc versions. Not sure when Europe was finally able to buy the 163cc model.
Twin f/r disc brakes w/braided lines provide amazing & easily modulated stopping power. Instant all-weather starts with EFI. Air/cooled trouble-free simplicity. The battery is under the floor and the tank is under the seat. It is also very easy to service!

Massimo also worked on designs for Italjet, Moto Guzzi, Suzuki, Piaggio, and on various Kymcos - among others.

Zaniboni and Kymco combined for a classic looking and very reliable (& robust) modern scooter.
