Title: Royal Alloy 300 scooter
Post by: Stig / Major Tom on April 08, 2022, 05:14:53 PM
$5700....coming to the States.
Metal, EFI, ABS, LED....probably made in China.
But after 9 yrs of ownership with my excellent Chinese made LIKE200I....that surely wouldn't put me off!

But without established nation wide dealer network---not much fun on long trip.

I'm no expert....but I suspect the vast majority of scooters never leave their county.🙃
So this scoot would work a treat....and as for local dealer support  -- many (most?) of us Kymco owners already do just fine without any.

Aaahhh...a 300! My first thought was, wait, haven't we had the Royal Alloy here for a few years? Yes, the 150cc.

And I thought Kymco was from Taiwan! At least when I was first looking into their global web site I got the impression the chairman did NOT like to be clumped in with being a China company but was exclusively a Taiwan company exclusive of China.

Several of Kymco's models are manufactured in China.
Many of us have come to appreciate the build quality of our 'Chinese ' scooters

It's a silly stigma....often advanced by Vespa owners....who have their own well known issues 🙃

if your VIN starts with either RF or RG it's manufactured in Taiwan, if it starts with an L it's made in China.

And if VIN starts : L/Cvd-19.....move away and buy something from Thailand.....like a Honda.

I’ve posted pics before on here of one I see regularly which is running well after surviving 4 UK winters - it’s used year round!  Seems reliable enough?
