OK - so his trousers need a little work,....
That's a '51. (maybe the trouser's too)
He's one member of the Liar's Club who opens Dino's at 6:45 every day.
He also has a nice old red Reflex....and 7 or 8 old handpainted (by local elementary school art classes) Toyota Estates. (station-wagons)
If you're a pretty girl and ask nice, he'll take you around town in the sidecar. Well....you probably don't even need to ask nicely.

I think the bike is '52 or later---'51 still had generator on top of engine? I had'54 R51/3 (first year of full width brakes) and Steib S-350 (bought for $50 with NSU Consul on). 500cc with solo gearing required lots of 3rd gear running.

I'll let you argue that with Joe - he built the thing.

does a motorcycle with sidecar steer the same? It can't lean like a traditional 2 wheeler...wonder how that affects handling...counter steering??

You steer sidecar outfit----right hand mount sidecar requires gas on right hand turn. on left turn, too hard, nose of sidecar can dig in.
Counter steering talk solo if kind of BS---does not at all apply to riding car riding. Difference of sidecar outfits compared to trikes=sidecar outifts take skill to ride right!!
