Vespa's limited edition Christian Dior 946 model. A 150cc aircooled engine* in the USA. The rest of the world gets a 125cc.

Never could get my eye around the 'flying pizza' design of that seat.

Yeah, but this one has gold accents and is very special with a special name on it.

There's always someone who's dumb enough to buy something like that, though.

what was their previous special edition using this body style? It was a red one that sold for ~$10,000. Same air cooled 150cc. Crazy...

Rear drum brake!
and that's just gold colored paint.
The stripe on the side looks like it came from Walmart's "cool mod's" isle.
He's going to let his trophy girl friend take it down to the end of the driveway on his ocean-side estate - where she'll dump it trying to turn around.
I can't look....

Even with a much lower price tag, that is still an ugly scooter. I'm pretty sure that anyone who would buy that will also be glad to tell everyone how much they paid for it as if that makes it a status symbol.
I know someone who has a 946, the scooter this is based on. He loves it and has kept it while at the same time buying and selling a bunch of other bikes. The original 946 was expensive but nothing like this. I do think the original 946 is a good looking scooter but not very practical in that it has no under seat storage.

I think they should put a gold painted milk crate on the rear luggage rack and then there would be some storage.
Or maybe the owner can buy the original crate that it was shipped in and put it in that with a glass enclosure and in a few years sell it as a collectible new in crate for 5 times that price.

Storage no worries - at that price you can have one of your 'people' follow in the Flying Spur with your Moon Pies.
