Been out this morning for last supplies on Years End dinner, quiet, 12 °C, my byroads anyway deserted.
Mountains behind are Slovenia already and appr. 50 km away across the sea between.

beautiful pic, Ruffus! I opened up Google Maps to see where in Italy you could look across the water to see Slovenia..I now have a much better idea of where you are! Keep the pics coming, love seeing your part of the world!

Txs, it's halfway twix peninsula of GRADO  and City of MONFALCONE, Nature Reserve ISONZATO (Isonzo river) where the infamous battles between Austria Hungary and Kingdom Italy were fought.
