On the subject of masks, pleased to note on recent visits to the supermarket here, some 95+% of shoppers wearing masks. It was mandated for most indoor shopping here (England*) a week or so back.
* Different devolved rules in rest of UK so Scotland for eg always seems a bit stricter than England. We’ll see how well that plays on Hogmanay!

Yeah, i didn't mean this to be just about masks and vaccines .....Americans are finding all kinds of things to divide us. .
Just feel sorry for young people who have to put up with adults and their anger issues.

That's the price they have to pay for having a sorrowfree and protected live from kindergarden until they finish any kind of study. Once out there in the free world, other rules apply.

True. I said on a local fb group recently that we seem to have forgotten how to disagree or even debate without rancour and I don’t think that’s just down to our politicians? Maybe one day open-minded debate will come back into fashion, but I doubt we’ll live to see it!

I know English isn't your first language Ruffus, and Italian isn't even my 4th - so, I'm not certain that I follow your thinking.
Unless they're reared in a cave - during their first 20 yrs youngsters are certainly not "protected" from the world adults are fashioning.
My 6 children were educated in both private and public schools - and each found one thing to be a constant.
During conversations in school classrooms & hallways, on sports fields, and across the lunch tables - their classmates were invariably parroting the prejudices and attitudes and demeanor which they had learned at the family dinner table from adults.
(where the adults were getting it - is a whole 'nother argument)
As my daughter likes to say, "Kindness. It starts at home."
For better or worse - adults have a trickle down effect, I think you'll agree.
The world could do with a little more Kindness in 2022.

@Stig well, you need certainly not to follow my thinking.
No further comment so far.
