We had my recently widowed 94 yr old thrice vaccinated mother-in-law over for Xmas dinner.....then we took her to see this goofy neighbor.
But she had a better time looking at the lights, listening to the Xmas music being played downtown, and at the miniatures scenes in the bank windows!
These window scenes have been a Xmas tradition for years...and it was good to see them back again for 2021!

* it was warm and wet enough for a scooter ride this morning.....but where to go??
Everything was closed, and well it should have been!
so I stayed home, made myself a big mug of Peet's - "Major Dickason's Blend" (dark roast blend)

that house is crazy! Our weather here in Iowa yesterday was beautiful, too. Mid 40's F, sunny and light breeze. I went for my first ever Christmas Day scooter ride. 30 miles on the Helix. I rode through downtown Iowa City and everything was closed, it looked like a ghost town. In all my years here I don't think I've ever seen it so deserted. It looked like a movie set. No cars on the street or anywhere...now that's my kind of riding day!
