Short answer: me > @ 4,000 miles.
After 9 years of riding my @012 LIKE200iLX it has covered just over 18,000 miles....so averaging 2,000 miles per year.
From my second year of LIKE200i ownership my riding time/miles has been shared with one other scooter.
First it was with a Honda NSS/Forza 300; that was replaced with a Suzuki Burgman 400; that was replaced with a Piaggio Liberty150i.
I pretty much stick to alternating the rides with the Kymco and whatever else is in the garage :)....so, maybe I've covered at least 36,000 miles since I started riding a scooter in 2013. I do ride year around / ice, snow , salt permitting.
.....and always set off before sunrise.

Per year?
Since 2000 I estimate my average annual mileage to be somewhere around 6000 miles. But in the last 12 years it is an average of 8200+ miles for a total of 98,575 miles. In that time there was one year with less than 6500. My highest miles per year was 10,656 miles and lowest year was 6480. The highest miles year was riding my CTX1300 and the lowest miles year was on my Burgman 650 (due to family activities cutting that year short) with all other years being higher than 6900 miles on any bike. 2020 on the Burgman 650 I traveled 8228 miles. Not bad for the year of Covid-19. I was social distancing by scooter ;D .

this past riding season?
S200 - ~600 miles
Helix - ~1100 miles (so far..will ride this one all winter, if possible)
Ninja 300 - ~1300 miles
So total of about 3000 miles. Eh..pretty average year.

Not enough! Didn't get my scoot till late fall. It's sitting covered up in my heated garage with about 100 miles on it. I don't do cold weather (blood thinners), but hopefully I'll ride the wheels off it this spring, summer, and fall.

Just occurred to me - might I hold at least a portion of the night riding per year title?
Well over 1/2 of my 4,000 miles per year is ridden in the dark.

Until recently at least 30,000 scooter and motorcycle annually. Several years at 50,000 a year, only one year at near 60,000, BMW RT, Vespa, MZ. Never did over 60,000 miles in year. One point, riding 2 wheelers big miles=not cheap.

this past year for me, zero miles, but I have had 35-40k years, not cheap, everyone thinks I am riding a motorcycle, (must get good mileage, eh!) because they are economical, have never bought motorcycle tires, I spent nearly 5k on tires one year (between cost of tires and mounting/balancing)

John and randyo - wow, that is some hard core riding. When I was a sales rep for my company I used to drive between 40-50K per year in my company car and that was brutal. Many long hours behind the wheel. Hard to imagine covering those same distances on 2 wheels.

with my sciatica, most motorcycles are better for me ergonomically , than most cars, and a few trucks
my Silverado, is ok, but my Tacoma sucks,
as a land surveyor, I used my motorcycle to keep track of field crews, researching, and many other tasks that did not require anything more than transporting myself, and the tool that could fit in a saddlebag. I got to ride, and claim the miles as business miles on my taxes. Current allowable rate for motorcycles is 54¢/mile.
I recall one year, I had a $15k tax deduction for using my SV650 for business use, that bike was ergonomically perfect for me, I could ride it all day, and then some, several times, start my vacation on a friday after work, ride 22 hours straight to Deals Gap, and when I got there, a few more hours of riding before quitting for the evening

last year with DT350 11,000 miles, for next years could be higher because I change work place and now I travel to city centre where is impossible find parking spot for car, so for next year could be higher, nothing cant stop me riding during the winter, no problem with subzero temps but heavy rain is big problem because manhole issue in my city, during the rain they popup and sh!t happens, last year I crash... ran into a hole..

Around 5000 miles in city exclusively, trafic, sh*t roads, all year long. I don't ride in this condition for pleasure !

My mileage has varied a lot from year to year. Going back to 1990 my best year was 27,000 miles and my worst was 4,600. In the past 10 years my best was 20,300 and my worst 10,800 so I'm getting more consistent. This year will be close to 15,000. The bike I have been riding the most the last 3 years has been my Like 150i which is averaging just over 5,000 miles per year.

Note: to ride big miles, bike/scooter needs to be comfortable! Most are not: after 11 new maxi-scooters, their problem for long days in the saddle=buffeting, regardless of windshield=nose it too far from tip of shield! Motorcycles: seat comfort---best Harley big twin solo, up down model, BMW 1955 on twin solo saddle, rubber, sprung model---Fairings/windsields....Heinrich uppers and lowers on BMW. and HD big twin winter windshield kit and tin knee shields---comfortable. big back draft due to amount of air pushed. And surprise Big frame Vespa with windshield cut to height to look over=worked and comfort going down the road.If you are not somewhat comfotable, long days in saddle not worth it....and proper riding/non flapping/warm when necessary/ clothes and of course waterproof, too. Gloves/mitts I have never really solved. Rubber overshoes for real wet and or cold days, nice.
To me---people changing seats/custom seats=joke. They are usually too fat/out of shape/don't know when to get off or take a break or do not ride a lot.

I retired almost 3 years ago. I expected that my mileage would increase when I retired but it hasn't changed that much. Maybe one reason is that I haven't done any long trips since I retired. My longest ride last year was a 6 day trip where I rode a total of only 1500 miles. Another reason is that most of my miles are commuting around town, riding extremely twisty roads or on unpaved roads. Those things are not conducive to accumulating a lot of miles. My typical day ride is 200-300 miles. I might have ridden more than 300 miles in a day once or twice last year. When I was younger I would often go on rides an do 400-700 miles in a day. I even did a couple of 800 miles days. So my rides are shorter than they used to be but I do ride more often which is why my average yearly mileage hasn't changed that much.
I'm OK with not riding more miles because my focus is on quality not quantity. I'd much rather ride a 100 fun miles than 1000 boring miles.

Some bikes are better for high mileage days than others. I bought my bikes for various reasons but doing really long days was not one of those reason. I don't think I would have any problem doing 500+ mile days on my Versys or Majesty but I just haven't been interested in doing that. My two smaller bikes, My Kymco Like150i and KLX250 are not designed for really long days. I have done 300+ miles days on both of them but I generally prefer to stay closer to 200 miles on those.
As for custom seats, they can make a big difference especially with the crappy seats that come on some many of today's bikes. Only my Like 150 has a comfortable stock seat. It put a custom seat on my KLX because the stock seat is about as comfortable as a 2x4. I have a seat pad on my Majesty and an Airhawk on my Versys.
I had an R1100GS. My but would get sore pretty quickly with the stock seat. I put a Corbin seat on it and did up to 800 mile days without a sore butt.
I would have trouble riding 25 miles without the Airhawk on my Versys, the stock seat is that bad.

I'm similar to an extent...all rides are local and my typical ride is for 1 hour covering about 25 miles. Maybe get crazy on a weekend on my Ninja and do 100. I do notice that I fatigue quite a bit after a few hours on the bike, making my inputs less smooth.

I notice I'm a little tired after my rides.
I put some of it down to the tension of riding through the city - staying alert, watching for deer/road debris in the dark, etc.....and I guess some of it down to rolling out of the sack at 5:00AM, and onto the scooter at 5:30! Doc also says I've lost some vision in my L eye.(glaucoma)
70°F sunrises are e a s y...... 24°F mornings take a bit more out of me.
I'm generally out in the weather for a little over 3 hours each ride.....minus the 10 mins socializing with the Liar's Club gang indoors at Dinos warm & dry coffee shop.
I don't wander off too far.
My pup misses me a lot - and eventually my daughter and wife might wonder where I am.

bike shorts, or more motorcycle specific, like LD Comfort, has been my answer to long distance days,
that said, I do wanna get a RDL for my V-Strom

I guess I didn't think of it that way but you are correct. Time in the saddle is more important than actual miles. The fact is that all miles are not created equal. 25 miles in town is probably at least as much riding as 100 miles on the highway. I remember when I used to do some pretty hard core dirt riding. 35-50 miles would be a full day of riding and I'd be sore from head to toe the next day. 100-150 miles of dual sport riding is a full day if a lot of the riding is in the dirt. When I go ride twisty roads I probably do more curves in an hour than many riders do in a week. I don't ride just to watch the odometer roll over a bunch of miles.
Another thing that cuts into my miles is that I like to stop and take pics, socialize or just enjoy the scenery. I normally don't ride much over an hour without stopping.

Since retirement and losing the commute miles it's averaging 3,000 per year split between the bike (c10%) and the scooter (c90%)! It's not nearly as much as I'd hoped, but I guess Covid has clipped most people's wings the last year or two?

When Covid hit last year it cut back my riding for a couple of months but after that things pretty much went back to normal around where I live. I'd say that maybe I lost a couple of thousand miles last year. I don't think it made much difference this year. We didn't have the kind of lockdowns that you did across the pond or even in Canada.

I don't think I lost any riding mileage during 2020.
Before a vaccine was available .......
My destination coffee village was the first town to mandate mask wearing in the state of Ohio.
Dino went to carry-out only, 4 customers at a time in the shop - and he enforced that loudly :)
Village police carried spare masks and could issue citations.
Etc.
During 'lock-downs' in my City I suppose police figured I was on my way to work when passing through city streets at daybreak on my scooter - sealed up inside a helmet.
My destination never went to 'lock-downs'.

can't say as I have ever ridden naked..... but I don't remember much from the sixties, you know the saying, if you remember the 60's, you weren't there

I put on more than 2,500 miles this year on my Honda ADV 150, which I felt was pretty good for a first-year rider who also has no interest in riding in the cold. So, basically mid-April to mid-October is riding season here in Pennsylvania.
I not only throughout enjoyed riding around on two wheels, but also loved the economics of going to the gym and running other errands on my 98 mpg scooter vs. my 14 mpg SUV. If I can get 2,000-3,000 useful miles on my scooter each year in lieu of my other vehicle, that's a win-win in terms of enjoyment and financial savings.

I don't mind doing 000's of highway miles to get to twisty miles that I haven't been on before, 25 miles of the same twisty roads gets boring after a while

I do occasionally ride on highways but I can get to thousands of miles of twisty roads without having to spend much time on highways.

I put in about 6000-7000 per year. I was on track for 9000+ this year but ran into some surgery that's taking a while to heal.

I'm was riding my Agility 125 14'000 miles per year but sold it to a new rider and now ride a 2013 Suzuki s40 to work. Afraid I have to say good bye to Kymco for a while, until I up and buy a DT300 that is.

I bought my used Like50 in june, did 4900 km with it till now, and now I bought a car recently to help my work. So I guess that next season will be few thousand km max, and that is a pity.

Well, the 650 single has lets say some personality. The manual requires the head bolts to be torqued every 1,500 or every oil change due to vibration:) I love the simplicity in the old design and am converting it to a scrambler layout as I grew up on dual sports and can't stand not being able to get off the seat when crossing rail tracks or rough spots on the local lumber roads.

I've heard stories of some of those big Suzuki thumpers shaking the bike apart! I totally hear ya on the cruiser riding position and not being able to stand up on the pegs..that can be very hard on the back to absorb all the impacts.

I added up my mileage for 2021. First the mileage for each bike I own:
Like 150i - 4836
KLX 250 - 3961
Versys - 3408
Majesty - 3044
Total - 15249
I put slightly more miles on my scooters than my motorcycles but not by that much. I thought the KLX would come out on top this year but I put over 1000 miles on the Like in Nov and Dec. So 2021 was better than 2020 but nowhere near my highest mileage year ever. I can't complain, I had did a lot of really great riding last year and the total mileage doesn't tell the whole story.

Ended up the year (2021) with 7212 miles traveled by bike.
I rode the Burgman 650 for 6071 miles.
I rode my Kymco AK 550 for 1141 miles.

Im riding about 25,000 a year going by the last few months with the new AK.
6500 miles since i got it at about the end of September.
Its crazy how fast they add up.

As long as its not raining real hard im out pretty much every day...Aside from the freak ice/hail/snow storm we got last year here in Austin. Never seen hail like that and rarely seen ice like that. Even having grown up in Iowa.

I imagine a 550cc bike is fun - but wouldn't something like a Honda Super Cub C125 be more economical to operate for delivering around town?

For sure if i worked the downtown Austin zone more than i do...but i try and cater to the disgustingly wealthy areas a bit up north. Round Rock and Cedar Park. So i end up doing a lot of freeway and tollway miles and you know how liberal texas is when it comes to speed limits!
When i started, i had gotten a 2007 chinese 250 Benzhao Honda Reflex clone and while it did work, it had to work REALLY hard to get the job done and it was actually extremely terrifying. Just wasnt made for those speeds even though it would do them.
Then i switched to the 2007 Yamaha Majesty 400. Made all the difference in the world. Delivered over 50,000 miles on that one.
But yer absolutely right...a smaller bike like that would be ideal for urban delivery. Surprisingly, I've only encountered one other person using a bike for delivery though. Couple nights ago. An enormous old lady on this little tiny scooter! She had my respect instantly. :D

wow, combined with your current mileage on the 550 we may have a new scooter mileage champ! You have to be in the top 5 at least with the miles you're running.

I'm off to a good start for 2022. I have ridden every day this year and a total of around 140 miles. it helps that we have had nearly perfect riding weather here in Alabama.
