This evening at the dinner table my daughter was recounting the toilet paper madness of 2021.
She accompanied me to line up at our major grocery store (Krogers) at 5:30AM one day during the worst of it.
Deputy sheriffs were there with the lady store manager, and her megaphone, as we all lined up in the dark for our instructions.
Following the procedures explained by the deputies - we scored a 24 pack!
I told my daughter to wait at the store front for me to bring the car around since it was raining.
An elderly lady came out, saw my daughter standing there with the Prize of North America in her arms, and pointing back inside to the nearest deputy, said,
"Honey I'd feel a whole lot better if you waited inside the store with all that toilet paper. You might not be safe out here."
Toilet paper.
Turns out it was just the beginning of the craziness of 2021.

toilet paper aisle is still kinda skimpy and half the time ya can't get yer favorite brand, I can always go out in the woods and scoop up a bucket or 2 of sphagnum moss, which I prefer anyway, follow a bear.

Those were the first to disappear when the TP was all sold out!
