Guys, has anyone else noticed the 2022 UXV lineup on the Kymco USA website? As of now, they have only the 450i listed (no 700s), and it looks like they've gotten rid of the dump bed on the standard model ($8,299 MSRP) and gone to a flat "cargo bed" design. Now, if that ain't ugly, I don't know what is! No way I would buy one of those vs. the 2018 I have with a dump bed. IMO, removing the dump bed removes a lot of the utility a side-by-side offers vs. an ATV.
Apparently, if you want the dump bed, your only options going forward is to go with the LE EPS model ($10,649 MSRP) which apparently now comes with electronic power steering in addition to the winch and aluminum alloy wheels.
Whaddaya guys think?

That bed would be useless around here!

WHAT BED? LOL

They will go back to the old style quickly. That flat bed will not sell well.

Boy is that a mistake....makes the machine look cheap, I agree, dont see that selling at all. Should make used ones more valuable !!! With all the big price increases from other mfgrs, the LE model looks like a good buy !!

I agree. The only thing that POSSIBLY makes sense is they wanted to keep the MSRP for the base model at $8,299 and getting rid of the dump bed allowed them to do that. However, given the price increases being seen everywhere in the world today, I still think they would have been better off just keeping the dump bed and raising the price of the base model to like $8,699.
I do agree the LE model looks like a pretty good buy, especially with the addition of power steering. Interestingly -- but NOT surprisingly -- there is NO information on the Kymco USA website about the power steering feature. You'd think they'd be talking that up, as power steering has never before been offered on this machine.
Wonder how long before we start to see some of these 2022 showing up in dealer showrooms around the country...

I wouldn't mind having a stake body bed or one that is 3" wider

Have to ask yourself, if they cheapened the machine with that flatbed, what ekse that we cant see did they do away with?? My neighbor just bought a xoupke new SxS machines, well over 20 thousand for each one. Another friend bought a 4wd quad at 12 thousand....ouch..makes that LE look better all the time !!

The Flatbed has it's uses. I wouldn't mind one. Not a bad idea actually but it will have a limited market. Honda has a UTV Flatbed model

Might be guite sometime before we know what a flop the flat bed is. I am sure there are a few folks that might have an interest in that bed, but not enough to keep naking it. Dont see any pluses on the power steering though, I have no problem steering mine with one hand without power steering....I am sure it helps on some machines but not a big deal on a 450i. With the big price increases on all other mfgrs the LE shoykd sell like hotcakes!!! Then again...how long before we can unload them off the ships sitting in the harbors.
