Title: Bought a used 2013 kymco UXV 500i… now the check engine light is on...
Post by: RobinsWorld on October 14, 2021, 05:51:55 PM
The check engine light came on when I had it in 4 wheel drive and took it out. How do I reset the check engine light, or how do I find out why it is on? Thanks

Find a dealer with the Kymco Scan Tool

It has to go to a Kymco dealer

You can reset the code by disconnecting the battery for30 seconds or more. Longer is better since I really don't know but it works! Before you do, just turn the key on but don't start it. Within about 30 seconds the check engine light should flash either a series of short flashes or a long flash followed by short ones. That will be the trouble code.

You may be able to find a list of codes by google search or manualslib.com or on here.
