Title: WTB - People 250 Exhaust
Post by: 1Bikeman on October 10, 2021, 06:09:03 PM
In need of a complete exhaust system for 2004. Existing system is cracked in multiple places. I will repair it, but want a replacement as it will probably crack again. Replacement doesn't have to be OEM (too $$$). It must be quiet, or at least no much louder than OEM.
Thanks for any guidance you can provide!

Caveat Emptor of course, but I did spot this on Faceplant.

Thanks for the thought. My exhaust is one piece (muffler and head pipe). And my head pipe is toast. I need the entire exhaust system.

My local dealer said this is a know problem wth the Kymco 250's - People 250, Grandvista 250, etc.  Bought my GV250 with 2,600 miles and my exhaust first cracked at about 12K miles.   I welded it like 6 times or more.  Finally, I switched to a custom muffler off a BMW 1200 GS but eventually the pipe leading to it cracked again.  I believe the motor shakes excessively and that stress cracks the exhaust which is bolted in place.
