I always assumed that this is an oil cooling radiator?

Hot piece, would cool some degrees for sure. But IMO strategically (airflow) not optimal positioned. Might be interesting how the guys went into oil circolation. I think I read somewhere about an adapter for this oil(meshfilter)plug.
