Title: 2008 Kymco People 50 Battery Location?
Post by: DynamicMenace on September 12, 2021, 06:58:44 PM
I just bought a non-running 2008 People 50 at an auction in Colorado. It was hotwired, with a battery attached in the front compartment under the instrument cluster. There were also 3 other batteries in the seat compartment, but those of course weren't hooked up.

I feel ridiculous asking, but where does the battery actually live? I've fixed a Genuine Buddy before, and it like most others I have seen has a battery under the floor mat. The People I have doesn't seem to have a compartment at all there. One manual I found said it would be behind a compartment on the right body panel, and there aren't any screws or bolts to remove a panel there at all, either. Any thoughts?

Thank you in advance, I can definitely post some pictures if needed, too!

It looks like that might be where the battery actually lives, huh.

Looks like YOU are the real expert on this one! I would have guessed floorboard.
How big/small is this battery, anyway?

Front Cover & Floor Panel parts diagram would seem to imply this.  See the description of part #163.
