Hello, can anyone give some advice? I purchased a mxu 150 and was trying to remove the speed restriction collar from the drive face. My drive face appears different than others I have seen online. The collar was easy to remove but the drive face has a larger diameter end (see picture). Putting things back together, it appears the belt still rides on this larger diameter end. Is this the way it supposed to be?

The spacer on your picture is removed, right? With it removed the two sheaves go closer together which raises the top speed.

In the top picture the spacer is removed but there is still a lip on the shaft. On the parts list and on videos it appears the shaft is all one diameter. Once reinstalled the lip is up against the outer sheave. At idle the belt seems to sit half on the larger diameter lip. The bike is definitely faster but I was worried the belt would wear unevenly. Basically you have the outer sheave, larger diameter of the lip, smaller diameter of the shaft, then the inner sheave. The belt at idle sits on that thin lip and not the shaft itself.

On my grandson's old Kymco 90 the spacer is removed. Has caused no extra wear on the belt. I think you will be fine.
