Title: Rear wheel oil
Post by: brianmckewen on August 22, 2021, 07:36:20 PM: Drained the oil out. It was 150ml. Should I replace with 150ml of gear oil or 180ml like what is stamped on the rear casing? Brian.

Good question.
A manual will give a rebuild amount (more), and a service amount (less).
Gotta believe the stamped figure is correct for an oil change servicing. ....
So 180.

120 -150 ml might be enough after draining.
Lubricates with a smaller amount the same, but if you didn't drain properly, 180 ml are too much and spoil your airfilter.
So, take a pick.

The issue appears to be was the previous fill too little or did not enough of the oil drain out..I'd drain all i could and turn the rear wheel a few more times to get the last of the oil out then refill with 180 ml.

The S200 won’t weep out. It vents into the airbox so any overfilling ends up in the air filter. 180 ml should be fine. The problems start when people fill it until it drains out of the fill hole. Then we have a mess.
