Title: NSR: what is a Pilsner, anyway?
Post by: Stig / Major Tom on August 20, 2021, 03:07:35 PM
Finished 4 hrs of yardwork. Told my daughter I'll be on the patio getting drunk if she's looking for me.
I buy one 6 pack a year. Finishing one from last year's 6 pack.
So, what is a "fine Pilsner" anyway? (https://i.postimg.cc/BbKzp7ZJ/20210820-105958.jpg)

a)  An over-chilled lager-type "beer" much beloved on mainland Europe!  Not to be confused with proper beer which is served at ambient temperature in God's own country*.
b)  Starting a sentence with "So".  According to BBC Radio 4 here in the UK, this is now illegal, and rightly so!

* Says he tucking into a nicely chilled can of Kronenbourg 1664
