Go on Stig, for us non-US members, what is a "Moon Pie"?  Or I shall start posting about English delicacies like Stottie Cake!

Couldn't take the suspense so I Googled it to find: "Are wagon wheels and moon pies the same?  What makes MoonPies special? ... Wagon Wheels are available internationally and feature a similar profile to the MoonPie, but they were "invented" long after the Southern favorite, in 1948. Choco Pies are popular in South Korea, but they were directly inspired by the MoonPie.  4 Jun 2016"  So there you have it.

Ha ha, Stig
We here in Europe let our dentists make a proper set of false (3rd) teeth to be armed for acid attacks from
Apfelstrudel, Topfentorte, Sachertorte (applepie, cheesecake, famous Vienna Sacher tart) and all the other delicious desserts.

As Ruffus explained, baby teeth (1st) adult teeth (2nds) false teeth (3rds!) 😱

Glad to say I’m still on my 2nds, but then I don’t have a sweet tooth.

Yes, implants and prosthetics are so well made nowadays. You cannot disdinguish from own teeth. Look even better, and last, bolted on your jaws, forever.
Another subject: Here in Italy you would consider to offer a guest biscotti (doghnuts, cookies, all kind of different fatteners) only in case of emergency. Has to be some genuine recipe or homemade. People would think strange of you as a host.

Well, here in Hooterville, oHIo - whenever we get together for a house warming to remove the wheels from a relatives new home - it is always a BYOMP affair.
Always.

Ruffus, gotta ask, what do you pay for a tooth implant in Italy?

@Stig, a "bring you own stuff" sit-in would be impossible here, simply no way. People here would simply not understand a "potluck". If for example one invites, he/she has to provide from soup to nuts. Anything else is a no go. But you bring flowers or a good Grappa...

@MB, paid recently for four (4) implants with sit-on bridge of twelf (12) teeth, ceramic on metal, €4.500,-.(pic similar)
Takes about three month the whole procedure (old teeth out, healing of jaw and gums, implant drilled in,...) but it's nearly painless if you get the right surgeon.
