The Spirited Goat Coffee House has closed. It did not survive the 2020 Covid restrictions.
This place harked back to the coffee houses of Greenwich Village and Haight-Ashbury days; with it's mismatched furnishings, decorated walls and ceilings, chess boards, newspaper racks and 'different' looking young and old clientele who could nurse one cup of coffee for hours on a cold day!

I would sit in the sun on very cold days in front of the Goat with a cup of their coffee.

Today, my daughter and I had breakfast at one of the village's two surviving coffee houses. The UnderDog Cafe', survives as the "living room" for the village, selling 100's of wines and beers, breakfast, lunches - with wine tastings and bands in the evenings.
Come, get a coffee or some of their baked goods and spend as long as you care.
Lap-top 30-somethings, elderly, tourists, etc. --- everyone but teenagers like to frequent the place.
The décor is VanGogh yellow walls and cloud-painted ceilings. Serve-yourself coffee thermoses offer mild to heart-stopping brews. There is a guitar on the wall and a piano in the corner ---- if you feel inclined.

You sure you are in Ohio, Tom? Har, har! I visited Rockwell City (i think) in the sixties and met first wife's relatives none of whom ever been farther than 150 from where they were born. I could not understand being a sailor...
Sad the covid scams have ruined so many little businesses....
