Title: Out of my wheel house.
Post by: Kansas kymco on July 02, 2021, 03:25:25 PM
Monday I'm supposed to pick up a People 200S scooter. I usually don't mess with small displacement or air cooled. This scooter has over 10k miles as well.  I noticed the styling is similar to the Piaggio Liberty.

Guess I will need another shed for small displacement air cooled, LOL.

5 years ago I read that Piaggio has produced over 900,000 of the Liberty-style big wheels scooters.
Yeah, these adn the early People's looked a lot like each other.

I sat a used early People at my dealer ("maybe buy it?") - pleasant shape and color combo - but I could NOT fit both of my size 14 feet on the floor of it!

Stig my People 150 was that way, I had to turn my hiking boot a little to fit and I only ware size 10.5.  If this scooter is to small it will be gone very quickly.

now you're talking!....a People S200? One fine machine! Or so i hear....

how much is it going for, if you don't mind me asking?

changing the fork oil on mine made a WORLD of difference in the ride...and I do need to sand my clutch pads yearly as they glaze (even thought I give it the beans when I'm riding).

See my write up on removing the rear wheel to see how to remove the seat bucket / plastics, etc.
