Title: Ticking sound

When my downtown on the side stand i turned on I hear ticking sound around the engine. When the scooter is on the main stand or on the ground i dont hear anything. Anybody know where may it came from? Only when its on side stand.

its only when the scooter on the side stand. Its not connected to engine problem. When the scooter on the main stand there no noise at all.

so if bike leaning i can hear the crankshaft end play sound? I didnt understand

John is saying correctly the bike on the sidestand the designed "endplay" (deliberate end-to-end clearance or gap between the crankshaft and the sides of the engine case) allows the crankshaft to shift sideways probably making the ticking noise. I have had three of these engine units since 2013 and have never bypassed the sidestand switches. So I have never had the occasion to idle on a slant.

its a problem that i need to fix? Or its alright?

Only makes the sound when leaned over on the sidestand, right? Doc Campbell says don't run the engine when leaned over! Har, har!

The 300i is probably the best there is. Should be running when we both are in the ground....

That side stand kill switch was the most annoying feature of my scooter. I couldn't wait to get rid of it. I use the side stand 95% of the time and I like to start the bike up and let it warm up while I'm putting on my riding gear. I never want to simply start it up and take off on a completely cold bike.

I've never noticed any change in engine noise having it idle on the side stand or center stand.

You can disable the side stand kill switch by disconnecting the existing kickstand sensor and jumping it. Kymco already includes the spare connector to jump the wires.

The ticking noise is probably just a loose panel, don't worry about it.
