The bike sat for at least a couple of years .when she finally got around to start it ,she kept turning it over and over and over until it just quit turning over., I'm guessing something got hot and either fried something like the starter or maybe an inline fuse. The 4 fuses under seat are all good.can anyone give me an idea how troubleshoot ignition system

Make sure the battery is fully charged, and that the side stand is up.  Is the tank full?

Change the oil, recharge or replace the battery, drain and refill the fuel tank. After a few non-starts you need to open the throttle while starting to vent excess fuel from the combustion chamber.
