Title: Like 200i in Dupixent Commercial
Post by: klaviator on June 12, 2021, 12:14:09 AM: I saw a new commercial a couple of times today that shows a woman getting on a Blue and White Scooter and riding away. I'm pretty sure its a Like 200i. The commercial is for Dupixent.

A SYM ?, or a Chinese?

Unless they took a LIKE200i and breathed on it in several places....but I doubt that.
Rear's wrong - rail light is wrong, so are the rear turn signals. Belt cover looks wrong.
Side vents are wrong. Front turn signals, etc. Wrong.

You know the Like 200i better than I do. I don't think it's a Vespa but I could be wrong about that too.

Mystery solved, I seen the commercial on TV and wondered myself. Surprised we don't have some SYM owners on the forum.

Wonder how the price compares to a LIKE200I. ....and are they assembled in Taiwan. ...or China? (And isn't it like 6AM in Kansas?! Gorgeous sunrise here in Ohio!)

SYM is a Taiwan company you would have to look at the VIN to see where they are assembled. We're in Central time zone. I always get up early, habit from my work days. Getting up early allows me to get stuff done before the heat of the day. We have had oppressive humidity with temperatures in the mid 90's. I spent yesterday pulling 100' of 10 gauge wire to my shop and wiring it up so I can use the A/C. Will meet a guy in Manhattan today to pick up a classic scooter, a 1985 Yamaha Riva 180Z with 2600 original miles. It has a snout Jimmy Durante* would be proud of.
