Title: White smoke like steam from front-end of the bike while washing it.
Post by: marvinsss2005 on June 08, 2021, 03:12:27 AM
I turned on my dt350i then pressure wash it and then i see white smoke like steam coming out from the handle bars and below the headlight close to radiators coming out also. Is this normal?

Yes, normal. Water touches the hot exhaust and engine parts and turns to steam. The steam travels under the body panels and finds its way out of any gap.

Also be very careful when using a pressure washer. I accidentally got water into the electronics and destroyed the battery and ECU. Not cheap to replace. I recommend only aiming the water top-down, not sideways.

A pressure washer can also force water into the bearings and other places it shouldn't be.
