2 Questions -
1) what's for dinner there in that covered pan? (come on, this is Italy - where the dishes are almost prettier than they taste!)
2) can we see a pic of the boat? (or did I miss that?)
(my Dad had a 32' sailboat in the middle of Colorado! He was 30yrs AirForce, but always wanted to learn to sail....so he bought some books and taught himself. He was a navigator in WWII - so he never got lost if he could see the sky. Although, it is hard to get lost at sea....in Colorado)

@Stig, you absolutely right about food here...
It really is a way to enjoy taking time to prepare, even if its a simple dish of gratinated pasta and a tossed salad.
I'm with boats and sailing since about 60 years, 'cause my granddad was a yachtsailor and I was with him since I can think.of.
Navigation here is not that hard, for I'm not going that far.Our boat is a 29 feet one, now already 24 years old and since then in Italy.
@CROSSBOLT, yes, a sailing boat should have a swing stove. I had such one on my previous boat (a UK make petroleum pressure stove) but decided during equipping that boat for a WALLAS diesel stove with CERAN fields, which was at that time not available in a different configuration.Did not regret this decision until now.

..like I said, food and relaxing is the main issue at a boat and especially in Italy.
But there are some dangerous creatures lurking...in this uncharted waters.. ha ha?😊
BTW: this big Meduse (diameter 60 cm) can really do serious burnings if you get close to their tentacles.

So, is that Swan attacking?
Did not know Swans spent time in salt water (this is Mediterranean, yes?)
And this bird is "tagged" by conservationists, or just stuck with some trash on its body?

Yes, its Mediterranean, swans adapt easily to saltwater, we do have there a colony of about 2000 individuals. Fisherman/ breeders are not happy with them, 'cause big swans and cormorans are good eaters and both are omnifour.
This example is tagged by IBBC an "International Bird Breeding..dont know what". They are spoiled by Yachties and asked for food.
