Title: LIKE200i Service: oil, gear, puke, stand, paint, ACF-50
Post by: Stig / Major Tom on May 28, 2021, 08:14:15 PM
This is the 9th summer with the LIKE200i - still running like a top. New OEM clutch last summer. Still 70
% on the brake shoes. Air filter never gets dirty. Have yet to burn out a bulb. New throttle body/ecu under warranty in 2014.
I keep a YUASA 14Ah battery in it. Use NGK Iridium plug. SHELL Nitro premium gas.

Raining today, so - changed the oil, the gear oil, emptied the puke tube, lubed the side & center stand (both sides), painted the exhaust shield and applied ACF-50 corrosion block. Checked the color of the brake fluid, and loosened & lubed the slide pins) Oil changes are at @800 mile intervals, gear oil every 2nd oil change.

I used this stuff: (left-over from Burgman and Forza - might be one more change left in bottles)

Hand snug - never a torque wrench.

I use a rag and a large natural bristle brush to apply the ACF-50 every place I can reach (except the brakes)
I log the services in the back of the owner's manual - so far have had to add two more pages back there!

Stig, your used gear oil looks cleaner than my fresh one....😊
But on the other side my air-intake and heat shields....ha ha..
