Title: Kymco K-XCT 125i Has lost RPM meter
Post by: skibot on May 23, 2021, 12:15:54 PM
Hi! My K-XCT 125i Has lost RPM meter, when engine works it doesn't show anything on RPM Meter, but before start, when dashboard turns on, RPM Meter test goes alright, so for sure it isn't problem with LCD panel. What could be wrong?

Bad contact between crank pulser sensor and ECU or ECU to instrument plug. Unplug each connector among the three, squeeze silicone dielectric grease into every female connector then plug-unplug about three times. Should fix if the cause. Wiggle all the wires/harness among the three while engine runnung to see if tach jumps.

These are just ideas based on the typical system. I have not had this trouble.

I've disconected all ECU connectors, and clean them with IPA, but nothing happened. I also disconected dashboard and clean connector - still nothing. Unfortunately i also found, that one of throttle cables, this one wich pushes throttle, is broken nearby throttle wheel. Could it be reason of my problem? And other question - i can't find throttle cable spare kit for K-XCT 125i, maybe someone can check if it fits with Downtown/Dinkstreet throttle cable?
