He restored the speed sign, and drags it out whenever he's feeling ornery.
He collects old Toyota Estates*...and turns them over for painting by local elementary school art classes.
FYI - speed limit is 25mph

* he has like 7 or so. Most of them run....(well, they can move. Let's put it that way)

Stig, your pics remind me of what it looks like when out riding! Due to life, work and weather I haven't been on my scooter since May 4 and motorcycle since May 2..and drizzling again this morning with a busy day ahead, so no riding today. Keep riding and keep sharing photos, they are enjoyed and appreciated.

Iahawk you sound like me. I have yet to take a motorcycle out this year and yesterday was the first day in a while that I was able to take a scooter out. We have rain on and off for the last two weeks and supposed to have more all this week. When it's been dry I dug a 91' conduit ditch by hand, pouring concrete, wiring and insulating a building, did some earth work (building a elevated road to the building) rototilled the tore up yard and planted grass. I did some work on some scooters on the rainy days. I bought a small trailer 5x8* and made some modifications to haul scooters.
*Carry On trailer, was $599. last year now $699. this year but was on sale for $649.

Thank you!
I tell you ...if I rode at the speeds normal people ride at I'd be taking a lot fewer photos. Heck, you can't notice much at 55mph! At that speed you can be in a ditch and breaking your back in a split second of inattention.
I actively 'look' for things to enjoy - and record it with the camera or cell phone. Have been doing that since I was a teenager in Paris in the 60's - or thumbing across the USA x 3 as an 18yr old.
After contacting PiaggioUSA (my daughter's idea) with some photos - they seemed to like them and asked me to start an Instagram. piaggio_americas selected to display one of my photos.
I understand that my photos have a limited appeal - for a number of reasons. So, thanks for your 'thanks'!
if I had a motto - "slow down and notice things...."
Stig
PS: other owners sometimes ask me my fuel mileage.....well, I stop, look at things and take photos -
and idle the scoot so much I quit checking my mpg's :)

Stig there might be a new Piaggio in your future Gratis of Piaggio . You may have found a niche that you enjoy doing and make some money while doing it.

Beautiful photo, Stig! Makes the scooter life look really appealing, which I am sure is why Piaggio wanted it.
