Looks like Kymco left out a step on the AK 550:

Unfortunately, or better yet fortunately, not everyone has a FB account so are unable to see Facebook posts. What step was left out?

That shouldn't be difficult to figure out. The vast majority of bikes and scooters require turning the bars to the left stop to lock. I consider it the default UNLESS there are instructions otherwise.
