I completed my 600 mile break in yesterday. And today I did a test run. I was not happy with a top speed of 55mph on a level road and no wind. I really like the way the scoot handled and it's relatively quiet Performance. I have a 2007 Lambretta International 150cc that will jump to 60 MPh and almost make 70 MPH. But it doesn't handle as good as the Super 8. The Super 8 jumps up to 50 mph real fast and that's a good enough speed for the 2 laners. Most 2 lane roads around these parts have a 45-50 mph rate anyhow. And I get a lot of those "Hey, nice looking Scooter"

After 4-5,000 miles, engine might be well run in and top speed should go up

If you've much traffic on those 45/50 roads - they're going to be leaning on you and passing even if you're WOT.
If guess some ride WOT all the time.

What's the difference between the 2007 Lambretta International 150cc and the 2008 Lambretta UNO 150cc?

There is no such thing as a 2008 Lambretta UNO 150. Lambretta International is a Taiwan company. The original Lambretta Co went went belly up in the late 1990's

Do I guess right that WOT is without traffic? And yes, there is little traffic on the two Laner's other than the the State Hwy's. If one does the speed limit there's not much passing gong on because you are truly in the "Country". Loads of Dairy Farms and Berry farms. I speak of course of NW Washington a few steps close to the US/Canada border.

Maybe you didn't understand what I asked? I know the original Lambretta went out of business. What's the difference between your 2007 150cc and my 150cc Uno quad valve. I assume both scooters are built by Herchee in Taiwan.

No. I’d say you’re fully run in at half that mileage. Not sure the top speed goes up by much, but you certainly seem to reach it quicker and with less vibration. (That’s a relative term of course, vibrations are inherent in a single cylinder engine!)

Yep, the Kymco Super 8 is surprisingly smooth for a single Cylinder. I rode a BSA 500 Gold Star single back in the 1950's that shake'd rattled and rolled.

Don't think there is any difference. I was hoping that the Kymco Super 8 had 4 valves, but sadly not so.
My Two valve People 150cc was every bit as fast as my quad valve Uno. Both speedometers were about 6% optimistic.

I just read your post : Speed run after break in. I have owned a 2021 Super 8 for about 10 months now and I am highly disappointed in the top speed as well. Why did they lie to us when they said it goes 65 ? My top is 55 is well. My kitted 50cc I owned for 14 years goes faster ! I am on here try to find out if there is a way to get it to go 65 . If you found anything please let me know. Thank you kindly.

Who's "they"?
Riders get all kinds of top speeds on their 150's.
And....well done you for getting more than 55mph for 14 yrs out of a 50! Usually - they blow up.

Would different rollers or sliders help? Honestly don't know about top end, but much better acceleration on my GTI 300 when I changed to sliders..
Hopefully it will improve performance on my X-Town after I get a few thousand miles on it.
